How long have you been involved in the art market?
I started at Christie’s in 1980 in the Old Master Department, followed by around 32 years at Agnews.

When and why did you start Christopher Kingzett Fine Art? 
Agnews was sold in 2013, at which point I left and formed my own company, dealing in Modern British art.

Can you describe the MO of the company? 
Guerilla warfare: four fairs a year, lying low in between.

What can we expect to see at British Art Fair?
Mostly classic Modern British art of the 40s and 50s: Vaughan; Piper; Sutherland; Moore.

How long have you been exhibiting at the Fair?
Agnews started exhibiting within a couple of years of the Fair starting, and I continued on my own behalf after I set up.

Are any of the artists on your list doing unexpectedly well at the moment?
Prices for Keith Vaughan are going through the roof.

What is your favourite public art gallery?
The Wallace Collection.

Which work would you hang from your desert island palm tree?
The Francis Bacon bullfighting scenes in the recent Royal Academy exhibition.
